Paolo Vandoni born January 4th 1972 in Locarno, Switzerland. Studies at CISA (Audiovisual Sciences Conservatory), where he also takes a photography course by Edo Bertoglio. He continues his studies at LACC (Los Angeles City College) where he receives Cinema and Film and Video Production certificates.

His first short film shot on VHS is dated 1990 after which he continued shooting multiple short films and documentaries. In 2003 he works as an intern personal assistant to the director of ‘Promised Land’, a feature film co-produced by Switzerland and Italy entirely shot on location in Los Angeles.
Paolo Vandoni likes to travel the world in search of a good story, this is how the documentary ‘Johnny Castle Rising Star’, shot in 2006, was born.
During 2006 Vandoni attends a directing seminar organized by Focal and imparted by Slawomir Idziak, director of photography (Double of Veronique, Blue, Gattaca, King Arthur, Harry Potter)
All of the experience accumulated throughout the years has allowed Paolo Vandoni to produce short films and documentaries that have been shown on Swiss television TSI and been part of numerous interbational film festivals.
